Seeing Past the Fog- Europe

Sometimes you just need a trip and to step away from it all to see the big picture clearly. Back in May 2014, I hopped on a plane and went to Spain, I flew into Malaga, picked up the rental car and began my journey. I drove to Casa babylon in Malaga and spent my first night there before I began my journey to Sevilla. Malaga was just a city, nothing too special or amazing in my opinion. The next day, the trip to Sevilla was gorgeous. The weather was in the high 70's and low 80's and I sware that Bill Gates used Spain to find all of his beautiful backdrop pictures that come stock on windows computer systems. After getting extremely lost and turned around in Sevilla trying to find my hostel, The Travelers Inn, by Bar Alfalfa, I was able to unpack and settle in to my room for two nights. The first night I ventured out to a couple of bars and roamed around the city for shopping. I found some great jewelry and fun souvenirs for my friends back home. The next day, i went sightseeing. I went to the cathedral, and the arena where they do the running of the bulls. That night I stayed in and read a book while watching the preparations of a ceremony for a saint from my balcony. I also ventured up to the rooftop where I could see the entire city.
I continued on to Cadiz, where I stopped for lunch and then headed across the border to Portugal. I stayed in a small town in portugal and hit up the beaches, which were the most immaculate beaches in pristine condition that I have ever seen. A few things that I learned about Spain: - they use "servicios" instead of bano - they say "Vale" instead of "ok" - in Portugal, if you ask for servicios, they bring you beer After Portugal, I headed to Gibraltar to go see some monkeys on the rock. I took a bus tour which was worth it, we grabbed a few beers for the road and headed up! The view was spectacular.
It was amazing to see Africa from the top of the rock. After I made my descent (in a van, beer in hand of course), I loaded back up and headed to Mijas, Spain, where I would remain in a condo on the beach for a week and surround myself with reading books, good food, an easy goping nightlife, and my favorite thing of all . the horse "Espectaculo!" I ride horses, and have three of my own. To watch the horse show in Spain, was truly an amazing experience. They have excellent skills there for high level dressage. I suppose thats why Europeans tend to master Gran Prix level riding.
